Flynt was meant to be a new electric van for Europe: developed by Dutch company Tavia Mobility, built on technology from Chinese manufacturer GAC, and designed for fleets and the last mile. We handled all communications in Europe.
The centrepiece was a press trip to Guangzhou in January 2025. 18 journalists from nine European countries visited the GAC plant, conducted interviews and test-drove six vehicles. Within five weeks, 346 articles appeared in European online media, from Auto Bild, auto motor und sport and Focus to Welt, ntv and t-online. The European premiere of the Flynt van followed in April 2025.
In the end, financing for series production did not come through. The case still shows what market entry is about: bringing a brand that is not yet on the road into European trade and consumer media credibly, together with a Chinese partner.
