We have been doing PR for electric mobility since it first appeared on German roads. In 2011 we took Karabag, one of Germany’s first electric car makers, into the national media, and in 2012 we designed the special e-mobility exhibition at Automechanika. Today our focus is where e-mobility is decided on economics: commercial vehicles, fleets and manufacturers entering Europe.
Vans, municipal vehicles, last-mile delivery: here electric mobility is bought on cost per kilometre, not on image. For Sevic we took compact electric commercial vehicles into the media across Europe, for I SEE electrified Opel vans all the way into Handelsblatt and WirtschaftsWoche. For Emovum, the brand of Wulf Gärtner Autoparts, we brought electrified commercial vehicles to market. And back in 2011 Karabag already had the idea of using the electric vehicle as an energy store, a debate that bidirectional charging has now taken mainstream.
Communicating commercial vehicles means talking to fleet managers, logistics companies and municipalities. The media that matter are trade and logistics titles, the stages that matter are IAA Transportation and transport logistic. What counts in the end is whether coverage turns into enquiries.
Chinese brands bring strong products to Europe and meet a media landscape that works differently from home: independent trade newsrooms, long test cycles, critical questions about origin, data and service. We launched GAC with the AION V at the Paris Motor Show, Dongfeng’s VOYAH at the IAA in Munich, and XEV with the YOYO. We know how Chinese companies work from many projects and trips to China, and we translate between headquarters and European newsrooms, linguistically and culturally.
Our automotive expertise comes from motorsport. At the last four Formula 1 races at the Nürburgring we were the event’s external press office, at the time the most important motorsport event in Germany. At the Superbike World Championship at the Nürburgring we ran the media centre and looked after around 250 international journalists. The network into the automotive and motorcycle press built there still works for us today: for vehicle tests with leading media, for BRP and for every market entry.
We have worked with BRP since 2011, currently on the move from combustion engines to electric motorcycles. For Fastned we have supported the roll-out of fast-charging infrastructure across Europe since 2021, for Ibeo we communicated LIDAR sensors for automated driving, a topic now returning with autonomous logistics.
