Pioneer Fastned: Opening of the first fast-charging station in the German network

🎄Final round! But before we head into the festive season, our colleagues Clemens Bauer and Thomas Reinecke celebrated a real premiere today.

In Düren, between Cologne and Aachen, they joined forces with Johannes Pallasch, spokesperson for the National Charging Infrastructure Control Centre and
Head of Division at NOW GmbH, Stefan Leuchten, Head of the #Electromobility Department of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and Frank Peter Ullrich, Senior Mayor of Düren, opened the first fast charging station of the German network launched by the federal government.

Naturally, we are extremely proud that our long-standing customer Fastned is once again leading the way.
Unsurprisingly, there was also plenty of praise from the very top: “With the opening of the first location in the Deutschlandnetz, we are heralding a new phase. … The German network will now grow bit by bit.
It will offer users reliable fast-charging options throughout the country – both for everyday journeys and longer journeys. I am convinced that the German network will make the switch to electromobility even more attractive,” said Dr Volker Wissing, Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport.
We couldn’t have said it more beautifully.🔌🚗
