When joy hits the tracks – Karaoke tram wins over Basel

On the Tram at Half Past Midnight – Tschingellingelling…!
We admit it: we love to sing. Loudly. Whether it’s old-school Schlager, modern pop hits, Taylor Swift, or heavy metal – it doesn’t matter. Singing lifts the spirits. And honestly, there’s no such thing as too much good mood.

What makes us especially happy: singing is contagious. Or to put it another way – the more off-key the notes, the better the vibes. That was proven in spectacular fashion on what might be the world’s smallest public stage: the karaoke tram of the Basel public transport system, in collaboration with our client Ricola. With plenty of decibels, strong media coverage, and just as many herbal drops as enthusiastic singers, the charming little Drämmli (what a great word!) rolled through Basel last week as a warm-up act for a major international chanson contest.

The cheerful participatory campaign quickly captured the hearts of the media. Or to say it in our own words: the drop was sucked – in every flavor!

Standing ovations go to our client Ricola for having the courage to launch this joy-filled initiative together with the Basel public transport company. And a huge thank you to our Food Unit – especially Joschka Löchte, Dr. Torben Kneisler, and Dr. Linda Glawe – for their creative input and excellent media relations.
