The pollution of the world’s oceans by microplastics is a well-known problem with far-reaching consequences. According to a study by Newcastle University, each person ingests an average of five grams of microplastic per week through their drinking water.
We are therefore very pleased to be able to support Bioweg, a company that is using its technology to fight microplastics and thus make the world a little better. Bioweg replaces synthetic polymers in cosmetic products and fertilisers with natural bacterial cellulose. Wherever there are innovations, we at DRP like to be close to them.
